No special permits, no quotas, no restrictions. It's one of the most foreigner-friendly property markets in the world, and one of the least talked about.

Portugal is widely considered one of the safest, most liveable countries in Europe. It ranks among the top 10 in the Global Peace Index, has a warm climate, excellent healthcare, and a cost of living well below the UK, France, or Spain. And unlike most of Western Europe, it still has affordable property, if you know where to look.

They're real listings sourced from Portuguese private sellers and local sites. We cover a range of properties and price points, and we note the condition clearly for each one: move-in ready, light updating, or structural project. More affordable finds are typically in villages and smaller towns, often within 20–45 minutes of the coast. Higher-priced picks tend to offer more space, better condition, or a stronger location.
